This is a photograph of a shop window display in Littlewoods. It was taken in Newcastle upon Tyne at some time in the 1970's.

The image is part of a collection capturing the changing face of Fashion in Newcastle upon Tyne, from the 1940’s to the 1970’s. This is expressed through photographs of shop fronts, advertising photography and product photography. More photographs can be viewed here www.flickr.com/photos/twm_news/sets/72157633468735885/

This collection of photographs can be found in the Turners Collection at Tyne & Wear Archives. Turners Photography Ltd was a commercial photographic company based at 7-15 Pink Lane, Newcastle. The collection is an extensive one, covering all aspects of commercial photography, including many jobs for large advertising firms of the time such as Tully-Crabbe Ltd.

These images have been compiled in contribution to Newcastle Fashion week 2013.

This unique shining gem of a necklace took me many, many, many hours to create, hence it is one of a kind. Inspired by the pin-up 1950's queenie the necklace has been made with resin, wire, transparencies decoupage, metal and a huge amount of vintage beads completely sewn into the piece. You will not find another one of these anywhere else. It would certainly be a special gift or even a present to yourself. Approx dimensions of pendant:4cm x 3cm. Length of necklace opened: 23.5cm.

so i haven't had any alcohol since like thurs. i went bowling with my work. because people were leaving for egypt and new people and someone was here from scotland or... it doesn't really matter. its pretty boring. If i were you i would have stopped reading at this point. Honestly, i not really even paying attention to what i'm writing. probably just rambling. its funny that i write stuff here even though i dont answer my phone or look at text messages people send me. seems strange. i send text messages to a twitter account that has 3 followers. all i do with it is complain about stuff so i'm kind of surprised that they haven't unfollowed me. i complain a lot i guess. i should probably go get drunk now. then at least i'll smile and laugh for a little while. i watched a movie about people in alcohol anonymous and this lady was talking about how she didn't have a drink for 10 years and then she had one and woke up in the park 3 days later. its strange cause that kind of sounded like more fun than she had over the last ten years of not drinking. oh well. i guess that's all for today. hope you're well, and thanks for reading if you read this far. i guess. talk to you later.
