I managed to pick up some replica VW A+M shoes recently, and compared them to the originals. (The lavender pair are the originals, the other two are the replicas.)
MOLD - Same
SIZE - Same
LABEL - different, but close
SIZE STAMP - different on the soles
COLORS - incorrect combo v what was offered in any season I believe
SMELL - They lack that Melissa plastic bubblegum scent. (My originals still smell sweet after three years of use.)
QUALITY - overall very similar, hard to distinguish if you don't know what you are looking for. The logo looks legit. Some of the plastic seams aren't quite as smooth as they ought to be, but still it's very close to original quality.
A surprisingly good replica. Beware!
