Carlton Bealor was the son of David Grant Bealor (1857-1927) and Elizabeth Bashore (1872-1927). He was born 18 June, 1900, in Pennsylvania. His parents were married in about 1897. Father David is listed on the 1910 Trenton, New Tersey, census as a bricklayer. The couple, who lived on Hermitage Avenue, had three children: David (born abt. 1898), Carlton, and Jean (born abt. 1903).

On the 1920 census, 19-year-old Carlton was living at the Kansas City, Missouri YMCA and working as a draftsman at an architectural firm. Whatever took him to Missouri, by 1930, he had returned to the state of his birth. He married South Dakota-born Orpha Liggett (16 February, 1903-February 1985 ) and set up house on Main Street in Shiremanstown, Cumberland County. He was the father of two: Betsy (born abt. 1925) and Carlton Alanson, Jr. (20 February, 1930-13 January, 2010). Carlton was supporting his family as a plastering contractor. By 1938, according to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, City Directory, Carlton was an architect for the state's Department of Forests and Waters.

Carlton died on 4 March, 1996, at Brookline Nursing Home, Mifflintown, Pennsylvania.

Uploading this photo taken at the R.D.S. (Royal Dublin Society) as the 2011 Horse Show kicks off today. The Horse Show has been running since 1864 and is a huge event on the Irish (and world) equestrian stage.

Really like the lady in the big hat - almost reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady's Ascot Gavotte.
