My RL Uniform

A conversation I had with Hack about SL versus RL appearance last night, plus the jealousy I exhibited over Alpha's gorgeous tresses earlier today prompted me to rummage in my inventory for clothes that are like my RL clothes. So, here's the first batch: Denim, black, combat boots - I even have a choker similar to this one that I wear occasionally... My hair is shorter, I do not normally wear this much make-up (if any at all, to be honest), and alas, no tail and cat ears/eyes either... hhhh

Sometimes the regular SL viewer beats Windlight and this is certainly one of those times: The way Synth Uni is visible in the background against the sunset is really good I think.

Storefront Fashion Show

I was walking around in New York City near Times Square and these mannequins caught my eye. They were on a revolving platform that made it look like they were turning around at the end of a fashion runway. There was a vibrant blue light in this window display and it was tempting to go color with this one. I felt that the B&W rendition fit the chromed mannequins a bit better. B&W conversion and slight toning was done in Lightroom.

This is a scan of the front page of a 1999 brochure for the Daewoo-FSO Polonez Plus as sold in Poland. Daewoo tried to expand in Europe and bought the old fashioned FSO factory and started selling the FSO Polonez (based on the Fiat 125 and already 20 years in production at that time) under the Daewoo-FSO brand.

My Little Pony: FiM Collection

Whoa! This collection is starting to overrun the studio space! This is a updated pic of my figurines and dolls from the latest generation of My Little Pony. (Friendship is Magic)

With the accquision of the Canterlot Special Edition Playset (Princess Celestia & Princess Luna), and the Princess Cadance talking figurine, they join the already existing collection which includes the Royal Castle Friends and Pony School Pals Playsets that I picked up from Big W a while back, plus the Fashion Style dolls (Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash) and my two Fluttershy figurines. (Regular & Shine Bright)

And to round out the update, the pack of four blind bag figurines featuring four of the "Mane 6" (Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash) and my Fluttershy plushie!

NOTE: There wasn't enough room to include my Cecilia OC pony plush in this update, but rest assured, I haven't sold her or gave her away.

My Little Pony: FiM Collection (Obsolete 13/7/12)

Oh boy...this collection just keeps on getting bigger! This is a updated pic of my figurines and dolls from the latest generation of My Little Pony. (Friendship is Magic)

Starting from left to right is the new addition to the collection, the Snowcatcher brushable that came with the new DVD box set that I got recently (pictured near the plushies). This also came with a set of six character profile cards as shown.

"21st Century Fusion" fused plastic bags coat ~ photo 11

I made this Coat from recycled common plastic bags. I am a Chicago suburban based artist and designer.

This coat and boot coverings made from woven cereal boxes, iare currently on display until July 10, 2010 at the Lake County Welcome Center in Hammond Indiana. (exit 3 Kennedy Avenue -right off of I 80). Artist reception June 3 5:30 -7:30 pm. The group show is "Trash to Treasure X."

I used a commercial "McCalls" pattern, 2 different kinds of irons, a sewing machine, newspaper for the image transfers, and a non stick ironing paper. I never counted all the plastic bags used for this plus sized coat....next time i will keep track. I worked on this coat daily full time for several weeks, cried and swore a lot...as there were MANY challenges. It was worth it and i will use this technique again some day soon.

Ioana's violin, i think she told me it was made in 1695 and i thought my Mac plus was old!!!

This is really where the prime lenses shine. Their surgical precision serves them. This is with a simple 50/1.4, 400 euros (will blow the doors of any 24-105L, 24-70L or the likes) but if you could see the detail, it's mind boggling, this shot could never be printed 50x70 with any other lens...except the 50/1.2L or perhaps the 35/1.4L

I suppose this is where my nerdy engineering personality is actually useful. I always try to make the best possible shot technically and then destroy data if i have to, but i hate, i simply hate not having enough information ;-)

la on commence a s'approcher du style qui me plait le plus, le portrait mais j'ai une (facheuse?) tendance a faire des plans tres serrés...

Les lumieres laterales sont tres adaptees pour la moda car elles aident le contraste et definissent bien la texture des vetements mais le probleme est qu'elles doivent etre tres grandes pour ne pas perdre de luminosite aux endroits les plus eloignes de la source.
